Coffee won’t help

Sometimes we just need some help.

  • Yes, we all have the same 24 hours
  • Small business owners can’t always be like the Lone Ranger
  • Outsourcing  your bookkeeping can take the pressure off your shoulders
  • The down and up side of QuickBooks

Why this bookkeeper is tired.

Why this ridiculous picture? Let me explain.  This weekend I decided to get some things done around the house.  I have company coming and I didn’t want to embarrass myself with a weedy garden and unpainted walls.  Not to mention I still have bookkeeping work to get done.  So, alright I’ll make a list.

First, I’ll read a bit and learn something and I’ll watch a video, which I paid for, to get more educated on all ways of bookkeeping.  Next, I have to spray the weeds and put out mulch, water plants……   I also have to get some painting done that I put off for the past 2 years.

Doesn’t seem too bad I can get it all gone. I should have planned ahead and not the night before.  Sort of like your bookkeeping and tax day. Because I ran out of time and energy. This is how it went.  First, I have to move rocks before I could I could spray.  The last owner loved rocks and not just little ones.  That was a lot of back breaking work right there!  I didn’t have enough mulch so I had to go and get that.   Then I hade to unload it and break the bags open and spread it out.  Don’t forget I still have to make supper and do dishes.

Painting is easy enough if you have everything .  I had tape and just needed plastic okay run to the store.  Get home and I didn’t have enough tape and the cycle begins again back and forth to the store because I wasn’t prepared.

See where I’m going with this.  I mean after all I’m a bookkeeper writing blog. It dawned on me that effective planning could have spared me the exhaustion and frustration I experienced. Similarly, for business owners, strategic financial planning can lead to increased productivity, reduced stress, and ultimately, greater profitability.

You hear this all the time but  what can you delegate to a professional that can save time and money?

Hire a bookkeeper. Whaaat?!  Let’s state the obvious. You aren’t having to work on your books after work or on the weekends. You don’t have to work with QuickBooks and its constantly changing software.  Just those two things alone is something to think about.

Did it cross your mind a bookkeeper can save you money?  Keeping up with your late fees, ensuring your bill are paid on time, letting you know you have to pay your taxes this month and not yesterday.  Keeping up with getting your contractors  to fill out their 1099’s, or filing them on your behalf- the list goes on.

Let’s free up your time and get you organized you you don’t have to be so tired.
